Three clients, three systems
Three years at Wizeline, from trainee to engineer III: an event platform for major US broadcasters, identity for an entertainment company, a chatbot for the largest US real-estate company, and Go and JavaScript classes on the side.
Context
Wizeline builds software for other companies, so the work changes with the client. Mine went from broadcast data to identity to conversation.
The systems
A platform processing hundreds of billions of events every month for major US broadcasters.
Identity and authorization flows for a leading entertainment company.
A chatbot for the largest real-estate company in the United States.
Teaching
At Wizeline Academy I designed courses on chatbot development, taught JavaScript and Go, and led English to ASL initiatives. One of those sessions is online in Spanish: Go concurrency patterns.
What I took with me
Wizeline taught me to be a consultant. I worked directly with clients every week, and learned to explain a technical problem to people who don’t write code, without hiding the trade-offs.
Wizeline Academy did the rest: courses, talks and a community built around them. That is where teaching became part of how I work, and it still is.
